Pimento-Cheese Sandwiches

These delicious finger sandwiches get their bite from sharp Cheddar cheese, cayenne pepper, and horseradish.



  • 5 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp. dry mustard
  • 3 tbsp. chopped marinated roasted red pepper
  • cayenne pepper
  • 16 slice firm white bread
  • ½ lb. cheese


1.Stir together cheese, cayenne pepper, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, and mayonnaise in a medium bowl. Blend half the mixture in a food processor until smooth. Transfer back to bowl, add roasted red pepper, and stir to combine.

2.Trim crusts from 16 slices firm white bread. Spread pimento cheese among 8 slices. Top with remaining bread. Cut sandwiches into quarters, slicing on the diagonal.
